Common Ridings Past
The Society has taken part in every Selkirk Common Riding since 1911 and we are keen to publish as much material as possible covering over 100 years of history.
In this section of our web site we are publishing Common Riding pictures from 1911 onwards.
If you have photographs involving the Colonial Society, particularly for the missing years, please get in touch with the Secretary via the ‘’contact’’ page of this web site. We would be delighted to publish them.
Reproduction of some of the images has been problematic because many images were ''glued'' into the old minute books. Using the PDF facilities however you should be able to move the position of the image and/or increase the font size.
